ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVERS IN THE DARK (OMD)
From Liverpool, England. Led by Andy McCluskey (vocals/bass/programming). Synthpop of the highest order and one of the better new wave bands of the 80's. The band was originally called The Id. McCluskey's partner Paul Humphreys (vocals/keyboards) left the group in 1987 to form The Listening Pool with other former OMD sidemen. The talent and success remained with McCluskey though. As the project came upon the twenty year mark, McCluskey decided to put an end to the band which prompted Humphreys to rejoin him for a series of tour dates! 2006 promises a new tour and a new album by the pair! 1979-98.
