THE NEIGHBORHOODS
From Boston, Massachusetts. Led by David Minehan (vocals/guitar) with John Hartcorn (bass) and Mike Quaglia (drums). Classic power pop. Their first local hit "Prettiest Girl" was issued in 1980 and then rerecorded and reissued ten years later when they finally signed to a major label. Minehan has turned mostly to producing other bands these days. Sadly, little definitive information is available on the band, it's single releases and other information. Even links to Minehan's Woolly Mammoth studios are dead on the internet. 1980-90.
