NAKED EYES
From Bath, England. A duo of Rob Fisher (bass) and Pete Byrne (vocals/guitar/keyboards). Scoring big with a cover of Burt Bacharach's "Always Something There To Remind Me" assured them a place in the history of alternative pop. They started under the name Neon and released a few singles under that name. After the duo broke up, Fisher joined with Simon Climie for a productive run as Climie-Fisher. Fisher then went on to direct Broadway musicals. Byrne has been touring under the Naked Eyes name since 1997, trying to hop on the bandwagon of new wave acts returning to the limelight. In 1999, Rob Fisher died suddenly of an illness at age 39. 1980-84.
