THE NAILS

From New York City.  Led by Marc Campbell (vocals) with Steve O'Rourke (guitar), David Kaufman (keyboards), George Kaufman (bass), Doug Guthrie (saxophone) and Mike Ratti (drums).  The Nails rose from the ashes of the Boulder, Colorado band The Ravers.  After relocating to New York, Marc Campbell and David Kaufman added new personnel and became The Nails.  The band came to prominence with a provocative spoken lyric tale about the women in the singer's life, this was the classic "88 Lines About 44 Women".  Their most recent studio release ("Corpus Christi") was in 1993 but the band urges people not to buy it since they have received no royalty monies from it.  Their most recent effort, a live concert cd is available from their website.  1978-1994.
