From Dakar, Senegal. A pop star widely known throughout the world through his associations with Peter Gabriel. First recognized internationally for his backing vocals on Gabriel's album "So". His status in Africa is far reaching and he leads The Super Etoile, Africa's most popular band! He has an amazing 5 octave vocal range and can sing in five languages. His popularity has brought him celebrity status that he has used wisely as a Unicef ambassador of goodwill and beginning projects in his native Senegal where he has started internet clubs to teach illiterate people. [There are many Super Etoile recordings on cassette only that are not listed in this discography] 1979-present.
