MOJO NIXON

From Chapel Hill, North Carolina, raised in Danville, Virginia and residing in San Diego, California. Neill "Kirby" McMillan Jr. is a strange and whacky deliverer of truth in an era of too much seriousness in rock.  Both with and without his sideman Skip Roper (washboard), Mojo Nixon (vocals/guitar) is a man who will not be compromised!  He has released many songs about people he admires and otherwise, including ditties about Elvis Presley, David Geffen, Don Henley, Martha Quinn (of M-TV fame) and Debbie Gibson.  His song "Don Henley Must Die" was a great joke but an even bigger joke on Mojo when the actual Don Henley showed up at a club that Mojo was playing at and joined him onstage to sing the song in 1992!  A unique performer, Nixon announced his retirement in 2004 and is now a radio host.  1985-present.
