MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
From Belleville, New Jersey. Led by Gerard Way (vocals) with Mikey Way (bass), Ray Toro (guitar), Frank Iero (guitar) and Bob Bryar (drums). Author Irvine Walsh inspired the band to take the name My Chemical Romance after Mikey Way read his book "Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance". A post-emo sound influenced mainly by classic rock but delivered in a decidedly modern style. 2005 saw the band mentioned often for their criticism of former touring friends The Used, and equally for developing a fashion style influenced by Duran Duran, Marilyn Manson, and the movies "A Clockwork Orange" and "The Warriors". 2002-present.
