From Devon, England. Led by Matthew Bellamy (vocals/guitar/keyboards) with Christopher Wolstenholme (bass), and Dominic Howard (drums). The band has been prolific in their native Europe for some years now but broke out wordwide in 2009. Sometimes known for their legal wranglings, the band have already been in successful fights with the Nestle company and Celine Dion! Formed in the early 90's, the band has won multiple awards throughout Europe and has been a buzz band as one of the best alternative rock bands of the last decade. Hardly known in the United States, the band finally found an audience with their hit "Uprising" which aurally has a strong resemblance to the classic rock hit "Spirit In The Sky". 1999-present.
