MOTHER LOVE BONE
From Seattle, Washington. Led by Andrew Wood (vocals) with Greg Gilmore (drums), Stone Gossard (guitar), Jeff Ament (bass) and Bruce Fairweather (guitar). More hair band metal than grunge, this Seattle band would come to an abrupt halt when Wood died of a heroin overdose on March 15, 1990. The group's album had just been released and the group had no choice but to make drastic decisions about its future. The Temple Of The Dog project would follow as a tribute to Wood. Gossard and Ament invited a San Diego singer to guest on the disc named Eddie Vedder. Pearl Jam was born. 1990.
