MIRAINGA
MR. MIRAINGA
From Tempe, Arizona, and then based in Fullereton, California. Led by Paul "Potz" Poturalski (vocals) with Stevoreno (guitar), Hedge (bass) and Drt (drums). The band described itself as samba-core or samba/punk. The band's name is derived from an insult that actor Danny DeVito throws at Richard Dreyfuss in the movie "Tin Men". After the first album, the band shortened its name to just Mirainga. Soundtrack appearances gained the band attention but not success. 1995-2001.
