MIRACLE LEGION
From New Haven, Connecticut. A duo of Mark Mulcahy (vocals) with Mr. Ray Neal (keyboards/guitar). Early comparisons to R.E.M. may have enhanced or hampered their career. Signing to the Morgan Creek label gained them some more exposure but the label quickly folded and has kept their classic first discs from ever being reissued. They added on Scott “Spot” Boutier (drums) and Dave McCaffrey (bass) to round out the sound of the band. For a time, they changed their name to Polaris and also appeared regularly by contributing music to the Nickelodeon channel show "The Adventures Of Pete & Pete". Mulcahy has since embarked on a solo career. Neal moved to Scotland. Boutier and McCaffrey are now members of Frank Black & The Catholics. 1984-95.
