THE MINUTEMEN
From California. Led by D. Boon (vocals/guitar) with Mike Watt (bass) and George Hurley (drums). So named because most of their songs lasted about a minute! Great punk energy that lasted until Boon's death from a car crash in 1985. The group reformed as fIREHOSE with a new lead singer in 1988. Watt is now enjoying a solo career. 1980-85.
