THE MURMURS
From New York City. A duo of Heather Grody (vocals/guitar) and Leisha Hailey (vocals/guitar). Biting lyrics and punk hair cuts are not usually associated with folk music but this streetwise lesbian duo know how to bite their teeth into any subject. Hailey has been romantically linked with singer k.d. Lang. The duo went their separate ways and Hailey is now concentrating on an acting career and performs in the Los Angeles band Gush. Hailey also appears as a cast member in the lesbian based drama "The L Word" on the Showtime cable channel. 1992-1998.
