ELTON MOTELLO
From England. Best known for his appropriation of Plastic Bertrand's music and making up new lyrics for the songs, specifically the hit "Ca Plane Pour Moi" which in Motello's hands became "Jet Boy/Jet Girl", a tale of homosexual exploits. The similarity to Elvis Costello's name is no mistake either. In any event, a minor footnote in new wave history. 1977-80.
