THE MOCK TURTLES
From Manchester, England. Led by Martin Coogan (vocals/guitar) with Steve Cowen (drums), Joanne Gent (keyboards), Andrew Stewardson (bass) and Martin Glyn Murray (drums). The band had a psychedelic feel that matched the Madchester sound well. By the time of their first major success however, the whole scene was giving away to Britpop and their next album was largely overlooked. 1987-91.
