THE MO-DETTES

From England. A multi-national female punk and pop group led by Ramona Carlier (vocals) from Switzerland, Kate Korus aka Kate Chorus (Katherine Corris)(guitar) from the US, and Brits Jane Crockford (bass) and June Miles-Kingston (drums). Their vocals were deplorable, but they were easily promotable. Looks, attitude, etc., everything that could make them a hit and did for a few songs. A few member changes before the band fell apart in 1982. One of the first popular all girl bands of the punk era. Miles-Kingston's brother was also a drummer in a popular band of the time, Tenpole Tudor. 1979-81.
