THE MEKONS
From Leeds, England. Led by Jon Langford (vocals/guitar) with Sally Timms (vocals), Tom Green (guitar), Sarah Corina (bass) and Steve Goulding (drums). Their name comes from the names of space aliens on the cult sci-fi program "Dr. Who". An early punk and new wave outfit, their sound has drifted into Celtic and country and continues to evolve. Langford has always led the band with a changing line-up through the years. 1978-present.
