THE MEATMEN
From Washington D.C. Punk rock led by Tesco Vee (Robert Vermuellen)(vocals) with a changing band of sidemen. This band is funny as hell if you like a bigoted sense of humor. Tesco and Howard Stern have a lot in common. Tesco is the owner and founder of independent label Touch And Go! If you ever see a copy of a Meatmen disc in a cd store, pick it up and read the song titles for a sure laugh! After the band broke-up in 1988, Tesco formed The Hate Police. By 1993 he again reactivated the Meatmen name for a few years but finally called it a day and moved back to his home of Lansing, Michigan. But a wit like Tesco's will not simply go away so it is natural to guess that he will once again return. 1981-88/1994-96.
