MARIA MCKEE
From Los Angeles. Maria McKee (vocals/guitar) began her musical experience watching her older half-brother play the guitar. That brother was the late Brian McLean of the seminal 60's group Love. Maria learned to play her own guitar and write songs that drew attention to her and her band Lone Justice. Unfortunately the band imploded rather quickly whereupon she abandoned the US and moved to Ireland. After a few years break, she returned to a recording career where she has become one of the decade's hidden gems. 1984-present.
