There are stories of bands wanting to leave their label and getting caught in company politics and lawsuits where the artist could not record. Aimee Mann is unfortunate enough to have been caught in this story not once but several times during her professional career. Still, she has persevered instead of giving up and our ears have been the better for her efforts. She is married to singer Michael Penn. 1993-present.
