LETTERS TO CLEO
From Boston, Massachusetts. Led by Kay Hanley (vocals) with Greg McKenna (guitar), Michael Eisenstein (guitar), Scott Riebling (bass) and Stacey Jones (drums). Energetic pop that was popular but never became a huge hit. Jones left to join Veruca Salt but eventually returned after a time and has since formed the successful American Hi-Fi. After almost a ten year run, healthy for any band, Letters To Cleo went their separate ways in May 2000. Hanley and Eisenstein married and started a family, leaving Boston for the west coast and a future they hope includes doing much scoring and soundtrack work for films. Hanley has since released a studio album under her own name and two live discs. 1991-98.
