THE LA'S
From Liverpool, England. Led by Lee Mavers (vocals/guitar) with John Power (bass), Peter Camel (guitar) and Neil Mavers (drums). This band hated its pairing with producer Steve Lillywhite for its first album so much, they asked people not to buy the album!!! The album did however carry a wonderful pop gem "There She Goes". Bass player turned lead guitarist John Power went on to form the band Cast in the mid-90's. The bands original drummer was Chris Sharrock who later became an in-demand studio drummer. The band reunited for some performances in 2005. 1988-90.
