LUSH
From London. Led by Miki Berenyi (vocals) with Emma Anderson (guitar), Phil King (bass) and Chris Acland (drums). Noisy pop from the tail end of the shoe-gazer scene, they transformed themselves to match a more contemporary sound by their fourth album. Acland committed suicide in 1996 leading the band to a split. Anderson has since formed Sing-Sing and released a cd. Berenyi lost her inspiration to make more music and opted for a career as a copy editor. 1989-95.
