LUSCIOUS JACKSON

 

 

From New York City.  Led by Jill Cuniff (vocals/guitar/bass) and Gabrielle Glaser (guitar) with Kate Schellenbach (drums).  City elements of rap and sampling are very evident in their work.  Kate was the original drummer of The Beastie Boys!  The group take their name from the famous 1960's basketball player of the same name.  The group amicably split in 2000.  In 2003, Cuniff produced a dance album by an act called the Cooler Kids.  Schellenbach retired from drumming and moved into television as a segment producer for Ellen DeGeneres and George Lopez.  1993-2000.
