LIMAHL
From Wigan, Lancashire, England. The former lead singer of Kajagoogoo. He was fired from the group when they thought their serious working band image was destroyed by the teen popularity amassed after the hit "Too Shy". Limahl attempted a solo career and ended up witha solitary hit, the theme to the children's movie "The Never Ending Story". Limahl's real name is Chris Hamill, a mixed up variation on the letters in his last name. Limahl decided to remake his biggest hit "Too Shy" in 1992 but could only get it released in Japan and Germany. He continues to work in music and plays out still. He also pays great attention to AIDS causes, Limahl is gay and has lost many friends to the disease. In 2003 he reunited with his former bandmates on the VH-1 program "Bands Reunited" but declined to rejoin the group when Nick Beggs reformed Kajagoogoo. Since 2000 he has concentrated primarily on appearing in stage musicals. 1984-92.
