TOMMY KEENE
From Bethesda, Maryland. Another great American singer/songwriter that has been overlooked by radio. Keene's rock heritage extends to his boyhood where he was lucky enough to meet Jeff Beck backstage after a Yardbirds show. He so impressed Beck with his guitar knowledge that Beck gave the young Tommy a Fender Esquire guitar,.. the stuff of legends. Finding his greatest exposure with other musicians from the Chapel Hill scene in the mid-80's, he progressed to national attention and has led a long productive solo career. His is a talent that deserves to be heard. 1982-present.
