KAJAGOOGOO
From England. Led by Limahl (vocals) with Steve Askew (guitar), Nick Beggs (bass), Stuart Neale (keyboards) and Jez Strode (drums). Originally releasing a single as Art Nouveau without Limahl, they decided they needed a singer and hired Chris Hamill. Hamill then rearranged the letters in his last name and became Limahl. After the quick success of "Too Shy", Limahl's mass appeal turned off his band mates who fired him! His solo success was limited. The band rebounded under the name Kaja and scored another hit with "Big Apple". Beggs is now a sought after session player and has recently toured with Howard Jones. 2003 saw a reunion of the band with Limahl for the VH-1 television show "Bands Reunited". This resulted in Beggs, Askew and Neale restarting the band for live gigs and recording albeit without Strode and Limahl. 1983-85.
