JOHNNY HATES JAZZ

From England.  Led by Clark Datchler (vocals), with Calvin Hayes and Mike Nocito.  Hayes and Nocito are studio producers who created this project and hired on Datchler as vocalist.  Hayes is the son of record producer Mickie Most.  This pop confection only lasted for one successful album before Datchler quit to go solo.  His replacement was Phil Thornalley (vocals/guitar) and he too lasted for one album before the project came to a stop.  Thornalley was a former member of The Cure and went on to co-write "Torn" with Anne Previn of Ednaswap, which later became a hit for Natalie Imbruglia.  Datchler released two unsucecssful solo albums in the early 1990's.  1986-92.
