JIMMY EAT WORLD
From Mesa, Arizona. Led by Jim Adkins (vocals/guitar) with Tom Linton (guitar), Rick Burch (bass) and Zach Lind (drums). Pop punk with a familiar but infectious feel to it. An interesting moment in the band's history came when they were contacted by the fiance of Tom DeLonge of Blink 182. She explained that the first time he said "I love you" to her was when one of Jimmy Eat World's songs were playing in the background of that moment. She asked the band if they might consider being the band at their wedding as a surprise and the band readily agreed and even wore tuxedos for the event! While the band has been tagged as part of the Emo genre, they disassociate themselves from it very verbally. 1994-present.
