JELLYFISH
From San Francisco, California. Led by Roger Manning (vocals/keyboards/guitar) with Jason Falkner (vocals/guitar), Andy Sturmer (drums), Tim Smith (bass) and Eric Dover (guitar). Formed from the remains of Beatnik Beatch, this group pulled neo-psychedelic pop into the 80's with healthy dollops of The Beatles and Beach Boys thrown in. The great destroyer "musical differences" ripped the group apart after only two albums. Falkner went on to form The Greys and is now pursuing a solo career. Dover and Manning formed Imperial Drag. Manning also mans a project called The Moog Cookbook, a tongue in cheek revamping of alternative songs into space age elevator music. In 1999, Manning and Falkner got together with former Red Kross member Brian Reitzell and created a soundtrack to a proposed sequel to the movie "Logan's Run". Three years later they released a proper album as TV Eyes. Smith came to the band from lost M-TV favorites The Producers! In 2006, Manning released his first proper solo album. 1990-94.
