THE JACKS
From California. Formed by Beat Farmers member Buddy Blue with studio help from Dave Alvin, Mojo Nixon and Richard Berry (the man who penned "Louie Louie"). The band named themselves after the bar Jack's Sugar Shack, where members often played. While there were no radio hits here, the line-up led to related projects like The Pleasure Barons! Blue kept the name and led The Jacks through many incarnations from 1985-93. 1988.
