IVY
From New York City. Led by Andy Chase (multi-instrumentalist) with Dominique Durand (vocals) and Adam Schlesinger (multi-instrumentalist). Beginning as Pinwheel, the two musicians stumbled across Durand and convinced her to join the group although she had no previous experience as a a vocalist. A modern alternative pop act created by Schlesinger as an outlet for his other musical tendencies apart from his other band (Fountains Of Wayne). Durand is from Paris, giving a unique approach to the sound with the dialect she places on English lyrics. Durand and Chase are also married. 1994-present.
