INTERPOL
From New York City. Led by Paul Banks (vocals/guitar) with Daniel Kessler (guitar), Carlos Dengler (bass) and Samuel Fogarino (drums). An original sound, culled from the early NYC garage sounds that started punk in the late 70's and the sounds of depressive British new wave bands, all adding up to something this side of Joy Division. Very interesting music that sounds more respectful to the past than derivative. 2002-present.
