THE HOOTERS

From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Led by Eric Bazilian (vocals/guitar) and Rob Hyman (vocals/keyboard) with David Uosikkinen (drums), John Lilley (guitar) and Fran Smith Jr. (bass). After two albums as Baby Grand, Bazilian and Hyman formed The Hooters which enjoyed an all too brief popularity in the mid-80's. As songwriters, Hyman and Bazilian have fared much better, placing hits in the charts almost yearly including 90's chart toppers like Joan Osborne's "One Of Us" and Billie Myers' "Kiss The Rain". The band's name has nothing to do with women's breasts by the way, it is a slang term for a melodica. In 2003, the band toured Germany showing that they still make appearances from time to time. 1983-present.
