From Rhode Island. The leader of Throwing Muses puts a stop on the band and goes solo for a while, building a strong reputation as an independent artist. Later reforming Throwing Muses, Hersh continues her solo musings and has recently formed a new band called '50 Foot Wave. 1994-present.
