THE HEARTBREAKERS
From New York City. Led by Johnny Thunders (vocals/guitar) and Richard Hell (vocals/bass) with Walter Lure (guitar) and Jerry Nolan (drums). After Hell left Television, he joined with former New York Dolls members Thunders and Nolan for this punk excursion. Too raw for the radio and too drug addicted to survive very long, the band is more legend than anything else. Like his time in Television before, Hell's membership was brief lived and predates studio recordings. Hell's replacement was Billy Rath on bass. 1976-79.
