THE GO-BETWEENS

From Brisbane, Australia. Led by Robert Forster (vocals/guitar) and Grant McLennan (vocals/guitar) with Lindy Morrison (drums), John Willsteed (bass) and Amanda Brown (violin/keyboards). Guitar pop along the lines of R.E.M. that never caught on in the States but was very popular in Europe. McLennan has also recorded with Steve Kilby of The Church as Jack Frost. McLennan and Forster both have moved on to strong solo careers but in 1997 the band reunited for a European tour and in 2000, Forster and McLennan reunited for a new album! On May 6, 2006, Grant McLennan died peacefully in his sleep at age 48 marking the end of the band and the end of an era. 1982-90/2005.
