G. LOVE & SPECIAL SAUCE
From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A rapper, blues wailer and folk singer all rolled into one. The band is G. Love (Garrett Dutton)(vocals/guitar) with Special Sauce: Jim Prescott (bass) and Jeffrey Clemens (drums). In an unusual move, they signed to the Okeh label, legendary for its roster of classic blues artists. Occupying a groove shared by 311, Jack Johnson and others, G. Love has yet to be truly discovered by the public. Dutton releases solo albums as G. Love, as well as group albums with Special Sauce. 1994-present.
