FRENTE
From Australia. Led by Angie Hart (vocals) and Simon Austin (guitar), with Bill McDonald (bass), and Alistair Barden (drums). The group's name means "front" in Spanish. A folksy sound, first capitalized on with their acoustic cover of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle". The group split in 1998, Hart concentrating on her new band Splendid and then solo work. Splendid also happen to perform one version of the theme to the television show "Buffy The Vampire Slayer". In March of 2004, Frente reunited for a few live shows in Los Angeles and New York City, their first performances in seven years. This resulted in a new EP in 2005 but only one more reunio appearance in 2010. 1991-97/2005.
