LITA FORD
From London. Rosanna "Lita" Ford was born in London and moved with her parents to California when she was a small child. The former lead guitarist of The Runaways, she has had a long and enduring career. Although her albums may be considered primarily straight ahead hard rock, she has on occasion touched back on her punk and glam roots. Lita's most recent work is in a band formed by her and her husband Jim Gillette called Rumble Culture, where she is strictly a non-singing guitarist. She has devoted her recent years to being a stay at home mother. Since the release of The Runaways movie, new interest has sprung up in all the former girls in the band and Lita appears to be resurfacing once again, having released a new album in 2009, her first in 14 years. 1983-present.
