THE FOOLS
From Ipswich, Massachusetts. Led by Mike Girard (vocals) with Richie Bartlett (guitar), Stacey Pedrick (guitar), Doug Forman (bass) and Chris Pedrick (drums). Strange American party rock, similar to Blotto or Gleaming Spires, The Fools are a bar band who rose to prominence with hits like "Life Sucks And Then You Die" and their Talking Heads take-off "Psycho Chicken". They also scored with the indy hit "It's A Night For Beautiful Girls". After a major arena tour opening for Van Halen, one wonders where do you go from there. The answer is back to the bars and that's where they've been ever since. They haven't released an album since 1989 but still play gigs in the Boston area. Bartlett also played in former Cars member Benjamin Orr's band, Orr. 1979-present
