ELLEN FOLEY
From St. Louis, Missouri. Singer/actress and onetime love of The Clash's Mick Jones. Best known for her acting role as public defender "Billie Young" on the television show "Night Court". Also known as the pesky woman that teases Meatloaf into a frenzy in "Paradise By The Dashboard Light". Her first album was made primarily with the help of Ian Hunter & Mick Ronson. She would return the favor by appearing as once again, the pesky woman, this time demanding that Ian dance with her in his hit "We Gotta Get Out Of Here". With one solo under her belt, her next album was really a full blown Clash album in disguise with all members of the band participating in the writing and recording process. In turn, Foley is all over their album "Sandinista" and duets with Jones on "Hitsville UK". Her third album only produced a semi-hit with "Johnny & Mary" a song recorded previously and to greater effect by Robert Palmer. Retreating back into acting, she is unfortunately part of the dinner theatre variety of forgotten actors. 1979-89.
