FLESH FOR LULU
GIGANTIC
From Brixton, England. Led by Nick Marsh (vocals) with Rocco Barker (guitar), Kevin Mills (bass), Del Strangefish (guitar) and James Mitchell (drums). Part of the UK "batcave" scene, they began as a semi-gothic combo but after the inclusion of the song "I Go Crazy" on the soundtrack to the John Hughes film "Some Kind Of Wonderful", their popularity soared in the United States. Unfortunately their credibility in Europe was destroyed from the turn to more pop oriented guitar rock. Flesh For Lulu broke up when one of the guitarists ran away with the bass player's girlfriend effectively imploding the group! Strangefish went back to his old band (Peter & The Test Tube Babies) while Marsh and Barker formed Gigantic which released one album in 1995. 1983-89.
