FIRETOWN
From Madison, Wisconsin. Led by Doug "Duke" Erikson (vocals/guitar) with Phil Davis (bass) and Butch Vig (drums). Tough, jangle guitar pop that honed the chops of the members for their future project....Garbage! Vig would soon become one of the hottest producers of the decade, producing Nirvana's "Nevermind" and Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream". Before this band, Vig and Erikson would join with Steve Marker in Spooner and eventually form Garbage together with Shirley Manson. 1986-88.
