NEIL FINN
From Te Awamutu, New Zealand. The second leader of Split Enz and the leader of Crowded House. It's hard to believe that after such a long and prosperous career, that Neil only released his first solo cd in 1998! In 2002, Neil released an album called 7 Worlds Collide which was formally a Neil Finn album (with friends) but the disc was a live collection of friends and family covering their favorites. In 2009, Neil brought the project together again as a benefit album for the OxFam organization, resulting in a studio set that included members of Radiohead, The Smiths and Wilco! Neil has been involved in the scores for several films and scored a hit with a cover of the Johnny Nash classic "I Can See Clearly Now" from the animated film Antz. Neil's biggest solo hit to date, a number one in his native New Zealand, was a single called "Can You Hear Us?" which was released in support of The All Blacks for their 1999 World Cup soccer push. 1998-present.
