FILTER
From Cleveland, Ohio. Originally a duo, Filter is now just Richard Patrick. An industrial act with techno leanings, Patrick is the brother of actor Robert Patrick who played the evil policeman in "Terminator 2". The song "Hey Man, Nice Shot" is reportedly about Pennsylvania politician Bud Dwyer who blew his head off with a concealed gun during a press conference in the late 80's, after being indicted on criminal charges. A less industrial and more radio friendly version of Filter appeared by the second album causing a surprising backlash against the artist. The third album was tentatively received by both critics and public alike however. 1995-present.
