EXOTIC BIRDS
From Cleveland, Ohio. Led by Andrew Kubiszewski (vocals/guitar) with Trent Reznor (keyboards), Frank Vale (keyboards), Mark Best (bass) and Tom Freer (drums). They received some airplay with a synthpop version of Badfinger's "Day After Day" but never made a big impression outside of their native Ohio. Reznor left the group and later created Nine Inch Nails. Kubiszewski toured with Trent's group for a while then played with The The and moved on to Stabbing Westward. 1982-87/1989-90.
