From Los Angeles. A former member of House Of Pain, Erik Schrody launched his solo career in 1990 but didn't have a solo hit until eight years later. As a white rap artist, his key to success has been to diversify his sound to include blues, folk and alternative rock. A near fatal heart attack followed by a replacement valve operation has curtailed his activities a bit. 1990-present.
