THE ESCAPE CLUB
From London. Led by Trevor Steel (vocals/guitar) with John Holliday (guitar), Johnnie Cristo (bass) and Milan Zekavica (drums). Mining a pop vein that INXS had already tapped, this band took a few catchy hooks and turned them into a credible pop career for a few years. Changes in the musical climate led to the band's break-up in 1992, Steel and Holliday became a successful mixing and production team. The band appeared to regroup in 2003 and launched an official website where their next project, a new band called Cloud 10 intended to release new music for sale over the internet. The site has since disappeared but the album however, as created by Steele and Holliday, is indeed available on the internet as an album by The Escape Club. Steele has since turned up as a judge on "Popstars Live", an Australian tv show. 1983-91/2003.
