EMF

From Gloucester, England.  Led by James Atkin (vocals) with Ian Dench (guitar/keyboards), Zac Foley (bass), Derry Brownson (sampling) and Marc Decloedt (drums).  The music is a blend of rave and pop.  Their name has two reported meanings, choose whichever you feel is real; Ecstasy Mother Fuckers or Epsom Mad Funkers.  While the band has a pretty even handed appreciation in the U.S., the band suffers from New Kids On The Block syndrome in their homeland.  Not taken very seriously and thought of as teen rave wannabe's.  The band reunited in 2001 for a tour and new tracks added to their best of album.  On January 3, 2002, Zac Foley was reported dead of unknown causes, a likely drug overdose, he was 31 years old.  1990-96/2001.
